The island can be reached with the auto train via the Hindenburg Dam. Cuxhaven offers a 3 km long sand beach and a beautiful promenade. Many small shops, restaurants and cafes invite you to stroll and while away the time. In the spa gardens you can view the seal pool, seabird meadow and fountain courtyard. Cuxhaven’s landmark is the “Kugelbake“, which is located nearby. An el dorado for all nature fans are the small East Frisian Islands Borkum, Baltrum and Langeoog, with their dune landscapes and lovely sand beaches.
