Pure sea air, healthy climate, dikes, tidal flats and sea – that is the North Sea. A holiday on the North Sea is an experience at any time of the year. St. Peter Ording, with its 11 km long and 2 km wide, white sand beach is a true paradise for surfers, sand sailors and bathing fans. In Büsum you can choose between the Sandy beach in the Perlebucht or green meadows on the softly rising dikes. A visit to the new pool “Pirate Sea” is recommended. Büsum is also known for the “Büsum crabs”, which you can buy fresh from the cutter. The largest North Sea island is Sylt, approx. 20 km from the mainland. The island can be reached with the auto train via the Hindenburg Dam. The landscape is quite diverse, ranging from dunes and marshland, beaches, tidal flats and forested areas, so it’s great for hikers, sun worshippers and in general all holiday makers. Cuxhaven offers a 3 km long sand beach and a beautiful promenade. Many small shops, restaurants and cafes invite you to stroll and while away the time. In the spa gardens you can view the seal pool, seabird meadow and fountain courtyard. Cuxhaven’s landmark is the “Kugelbake“, which is located nearby. An el dorado for all nature fans are the small East Frisian Islands Borkum, Baltrum and Langeoog, with their dune landscapes and lovely sand beaches.
